Mazatrol receive

Advanced dialog

param

Disable file receive

Check this field to disable transmission of files from the CNC to the DNC server. This will prevent the operator from accidentally overwriting files on the server.

param

File format

Select the format used to store Mazatrol files, from this list.

param

Replace if found in request directories

Check this field to replace existing files when a program is received. If the program received is not found in any of the directories specified on the 'Request directories' sheet, the program will be stored in the directory specified below.

param

M1/M2 Request format

Select how to format Mazak M2 remote request from this list

Mazak M2 has no comment field, so the remote request program/disk number is specified in the first X coordinate of the request program. Use this field to specify how the program number is extracted from the X coordinate.

[Program/Disk 1234 = X1234.0]
Program 1 = X1.0, Program 12 = X12.0, Program 123 = X123.0

[Program/Disk 1234 = X123.40]
Program 1 = X0.1, Program 12 = X1.2, Program 123 = X12.3

[Program/Disk 1234 = X12.34]
Program 1 = X0.01, Program 12 = X0.12, Program 123 = X1.23

[Program/Disk 1234 = X1.234]
Program 1 = X0.001, Program 12 = X0.012, Program 123 = X0.123

Advanced settings

param

Manual receive into selected file

Check this field to receive data into the file selected on the manual tab.

If this option is not selected, received data is saved into a file based on the program number extracted from the received data.

Warning: When this option is selected, the operator can overwrite the existing program with a different program, if the 'wrong' program is sent from the control!

param

Receive into selected file only once

Check this field to receive data into the file selected on the manual tab just once.

When using this option DNC-Max will receive the next program transfer into the selected file, and then go back to auto naming files based on program number/comment for any subsequent transfers.

param

Cache files on local drive

Check this field to cache requested files/disks on a local hard drive. Check this field if you are experiencing problems sending files located on a network drive

When this option is selected, the operator must re-request the file/disk if the file/disk directory is updated, i.e. a file is modified using an external editor, or one or more files has been added to a disk directory.

param

Do not add program headers

Check this field if DNC-Max should not add headers to program files.

If you wish to send programs from a different control type (ex., sending M32 programs to an M-Plus control), you must check this option.

When this option is checked, you cannot send programs from other DNC systems, that are stored without headers.

param

Look for disks in sub-directories

Check this field if DNC-Max should look for the requested disk directory in sub-directories of $DATA.

param

Allow old programs in disk directories

Check this field if DNC-Max should include programs for older Mazak models in disk directories.

Example: If you check this option, and the control is an M-Plus, then DNC-Max will be able to transfer M32 programs as well.

param

Auto select received file

Check this field if DNC-Max should automatically select the last received program.

Use this feature if you wish to compare the program you just sent back to DNC-Max, with the program on the control.

param

No file selected if request fails

Check this field if no programs should be available after a failed remote request.

Selecting this option will cause a alarm on the control, when trying to read a program after a failed request.

If this option is not selected, the last file requested will be available.

param

Prefix/suffix on requests / Keep 0's

Check this field to add the specified prefix/suffix to requested program names.

When this option is selected, leading 0's are not stripped from the requested name.

param

Do not send incompatible programs

Check this field to prevent DNC-Max from sending programs from newer/incompatible control types.

Example: If this is T+, only T+, T32 and T1/T2 programs can be sent.

Due to poor design of the Mazak program format, DNC-Max might fail to detect the difference between M1, M2, T1 and T2 programs!

param

Select multiple files

Check this field to allow the user to select multiple files.

param

Clear selection on manual send

Check this field if the list of files selected should be cleared before sending manually selected files.

param

Clear selection on NC-Base send

Check this field if the list of files selected should be cleared before sending files from NC-Base.

param

Clear selection on remote request

Check this field if the list of files selected should be cleared before adding remote requested files.
