Minimum filename length

Use this field to specify the minimum filename length excluding any prefix and/or suffix. You should specify a padding character below if the minimum program length is not set to 1.

Pad with

Use this field to specify the padding character. The padding character is inserted between the prefix (if any) specified below, and the program name, so the filename becomes as long as specified in the 'Minimum filename length' field above.

Remove leading characters

Use this field to specify any leading characters or string that should be stripped from the program name.

Ignore characters

Use this field to specify characters that should be ignored in the program/path name.

Replace with

Use this field to specify the string that should replace any occurrences of the specified trigger.

If the trigger is specified using the advanced format, you can insert the trigger using '#'.

Example: To ensure that all tool changes are followed by M6, specify '' as trigger, and '# M6' as the replace string.

Prefix/Suffix/Extension

Prefix

Use this field to specify a prefix that should be added in front of the program name.

Suffix

Use this field to specify a suffix that should be added to the end of the program name.

Extension handling

Use this field to specify how any extension found in the program name should be handled.

Replace : Replace any extension found, with the extension specified below.

Add : Add the extension specified below, if no extension found.

Remove : Remove any extension found.

Keep : Keep any extension found.

Always : Always add specified extension.

When 'Always' is selected, a . is not automatically added!

Use this field to specify the extension that should be added to the program name.

Queue Files

Add programs to the transmit queue

Check this field to add the programs to the queue.

When this option is selected the sub-programs are not expanded in the main program, so it should not be used when drip-feeding.

When using a list file, check this option if the operator should hit input for each program in the list (remember to check 'Wait for XOn between queued files).

Enable list files

Use this file to specify the extension of files that should be expanded.

To specify multiple extensions separate them with a comma.

Using the wildcards * and ? is supported.

To expand files without extensions, specify a comma at the beginning.

Example: To expand all programs in files with the extension LST, specify: LST

Example: To expand all programs in files where the the first letter of the extension is L, specify: L*

When list file support is enabled, DNC-Max will threat the request program as a list of files to send.
