NC-Base Settings

Use this dialog to configure settings related to CIMCO NC-Base.

Enable NC-Base link

Check this field to export received files to the NC-Base server.

Check this field to export received files to the database.

Place files on import queue

Check this field if exported files should be placed on the import queue.

Update fields after receiving

Check this field if the database program information (Part number/Drawing Number/...) should be extracted from the received program and inserted into the database.

When an existing program is received, the information in the database is also updated if this option is selected.

Export no-name programs

Check this field if auto received programs without a program name should be exported to the database.

This is useful if the control does not support specifying a program comment or has a limited keyboard.

Use filename as program name

Check this field to use the filename as program name.

The extension (if any) if removed from the filename to generate the program name, unless you check the 'Include extension in program name' option below..

Example: If DNC-Max receives the program 'O7' and auto received is configured to save this as '0007.NC', then the file will be added to NC-Base as Program 0007.

Check this field to include the extension when using the filename as program name.

Do not overwrite read-only files

Check this field if the operator should not be allowed to send back programs to the database that are marked as 'Read-only' in the database.

Do not create new customers

Check this field if a new customer should not be created if the customer name found in received program does not match an existing customer.

Directory monitor use last known backup

Check this field to use the last known backup for version comparison in NC-Base.

If backup FILE_10.NC is created, backup FILE_09.NC will be used as version comparison.

This enables the directory monitor to increment the version number in NC-Base without using Auto Receive or forcing version update on every update.

Lookup requested files in database

Check this field if remote requested programs should be fetched from the database.

If the requested program is not found in the database, the normal file based request is used.

Update fields before sending

Check this field if the database program information (Part number/Drawing Number/...) should be updated before the file is transmitted.

Send unlocked programs only

Check this field if programs must be unlocked before they can be sent.

Send programs in database only

Check this field if only programs in the database can be sent.

Ignore 'Transmit Count Limit'

Check this field to ignore the 'Transmit Limit Counter'.

Enable the Transmit Limit Counter in the NC-Base Server configuration to use this option.

Only send files in request directories

Check this field to send only remote requested files located in the specified remote request directories.

Keep NC-Base directory

Check this field to keep the directory the file is located in when sending files from the NC-Base.

The $DATA directory for the port must be the same as the NC-Base directory for the port.

This feature will only work when using LSV2, FOCAS or FTP protocol. For FOCAS protocol, only controls that allow creation of folders work with this feature. If sending to FOCAS data server, use FTP protocol.
