Multi request

Multi Request dialog

param

Enable directory transfers

Check this field if this remote request set should be used as a 'Directory request'

A directory request is used in the same way as a regular remote request, except that the remote requested name is used as a directory name and not a file name, and DNC-Max sends the contents of the requested directory back to the control.

This option excludes interaction with NC-Base for this set.

param

Include sub-directories

Check this field if DNC-Max should also send programs in sub-directories of the requested directory.

param

Enable wildcard transfers

Check this field to enable wild card requests.

Using wild card request the operator can request multiple file with a single request.

Example: Sending (/REQ MOULD*) where * is the wild card character, will return all files starting with MOULD.

This option excludes interaction with NC-Base for this set.

Wildcard requests do not work with NC-Base, only with files in the set's directories.

param

Enable file range requests

Check this field to enable file range requests.

Using a file range request the operator can request a range of files with a single request.

Example: Sending (/REQ PRG1000#1099) where # is the range character, will return all files in the range from PRG1000-PRG1099.

Remember to include the range character in 'Accept other characters'

File range requests do not work with NC-Base, only with files in the set's directories.

param

Include files with extensions

Use this field to specify the extension(s) of files to include in when sending the contents of a directory.

To include all files, leave this field empty.

To specify multiple extensions separate them with a comma.

Using the wildcards * and ? is supported.

To include files without extensions, specify a comma at the beginning.

Example: To list all files with extensions .NC and .ISO, specify: NC,ISO

Example: To show all files where the first letter of the extension is N, specify: N*

Example: To show all files without an extension, or with the extension MZK, specify: ,MZK

param

File order

Use this field to specify in which order the files should be sent back to the control.

Using the wildcards * and ? is supported.

Example: To first send all files with the extension NC, followed by files with the extension DAT, specify: 'NC,DAT'

To send files starting with P first, specify 'P*.*'

param

Maximum number of files

Use this field to specify the maximum number of files DNC-Max should include in when sending the contents of a directory.

Specify 0, if there should be no limit on the number of files.

param

Wild character

Use this field to specify the wildcard character.

With wildcard directory listings you can request a directory listing including only files that match a search pattern.

Example: (/REQ DIR P1*) will list only files that start with P1

Example: (/REQ DIR *.DAT) will List Files that have the extension DAT

param

Range character

Use this field to specify the range character.

Using a file range request the operator can request a range of files with a single request.

Example: Sending (/REQ PRG1000#1099) where # is the range character, will return all files in the range from PRG1000-PRG1099.

Remember to include the range character in 'Accept other characters'

param

Keep directory structure

Check this field if the imported program should be placed in a sub-directory of the machine base directory, if found in a sub-directory of the import directory.

Example: If a program is found in 'Import directory'\JOHNSTOOLS\PRG1234.NC, it will be moved to 'Machine directory'\JOHNSTOOLS\PRG1234.NC.

param

Associated files

Use this field to specify how to send associated files.

Use file prefix: Select this option if files are stored using the main program filename as prefix.

Example:If the main program is called 100.PDF and associated files are stored as 100-DATA-TOOLDATA.BDB etc.

Use NC-Base: Use this option to send all files that are associated with the main file in NC-Base and are marked as 'NC Data' in NC-Base.

Prefix + NC-Base: Use both methods to locate associated files.

List file

param

Lookup request in a list file

Use this field to specify the name of the list file.

When 'job list file requests' are enabled, DNC-Max will scan the specified 'job list file', and when a line is found containing the requested program name, which is extracted using the 'Requested program trigger', then the actual filename is extracted from the same line using the 'Extract filename trigger'.

param

Send all occurrences

Check this to send all files matching configured trigger.

Example:

1234:1111.NC

1234:1112.NC

Requesting 1234 will send both 1111.NC and 1112.NC

param

Send all lines

Check this to send all lines in jobfile.

Extract filename trigger is still used to extract the desired filename.

param

Job list file

Use this field to specify the name of the list file.

When 'job list file requests' are enabled, DNC-Max will scan the specified 'job list file', and when a line is found containing the requested program name, which is extracted using the 'Requested program trigger', then the actual filename is extracted from the same line using the 'Extract filename trigger'.

param

Job root directory

Use this field to specify the root directory for all requested files.

Leave this field blank if the list file contains full path information for the files.

param

Requested program trigger

Use this field to specify the trigger used to extract the program name.
