This version of CIMCO Edit includes a number of improvements over previous versions.
- New user interface.
The new user interface in CIMCO Edit v7 follows the latest standards for Windows user interface design.
- Comprehensive help system.
Now everything you need to know about functions that was previously contained in the reference manuals is included in the in-product HTML help and at your fingertips. Stumped on a function? The F1 key or the Help button will take you right to the information you need.
- Optimized editor engine.
The new optimized editor engine loads large files quickly, and with minimal memory usage.
- Flexible configuration.
Flexible configuration of colors, NC commands etc.
- Advanced standard protocol.
Advanced standard protocol allows you to communicate with multiple CNC's simultaneously.
- Solid simulation with tool animation.
The advanced graphical backplotter is now extended to include a dynamic stock animation which allows you to see the material being removed by the tool. You can select solid visualization for 3D milling and turning or 2D turning only.
- Automatic tool scanning.
The advanced tool scanning feature allows you to automatically scan tool dimensions from the NC program file. Changes in the NC program are immediately reflected in the Tool Setup.
- Automatic stock scanning.
CIMCO Edit can now automatically scan stock dimensions from the program file. Changes in the NC program are immediately reflected in the Solid Setup.
- Load/Save tool libraries.
This feature allows you to load and save tools in the library.
- Support for Fagor.
Among many other control types CIMCO Edit now supports Fagor simulation for milling operations.
- Enhanced Search option.
The Search/Replace function now allows you to simultaneously search and replace multiple program lines.
