Eastec - A Positive Show On All Fronts

One of the most positive signs of 2002 thus far was the Eastec Show in West Springfield, Mass. Perfect weather no doubt played a major role in the excellent attendance of the three day show. Those in attendance saw our latest product offerings, new features, and a great demo put together by one of our CIMCO Business Partners.

Centerstage in the booth was a brand-new HAAS SMINIMILL (Super Mini Mill) - www.haascnc.com. DNC-Max, our flagship product, was tasked with keeping the high-speed HAAS CNC fed as it cut through demo parts at speeds up to 400-500 ipm. CIMCO demonstrated communications with the SMINIMILL through a variety of methods. For some demonstrations a traditional 'wired' serial connection was used highlighting the reliablity and ease-of-use of DNC-Max for manual and remote-request transfers. Other demonstrations were conducted using a wireless serial connection highlighting the flexibility and compatiblity of DNC-Max. In addition to the remote demos CIMCO showed some of our enterprise functionality including our exclusive Webmonitoring(tm) and our Messaging and Data Collection capabilities.

CIMCO wants to give special thanks to our Business Partner - CGTech, www.vericut.com, who provided us with a complete 'virtual' demo of the HAAS SMINIMILL running our demo part for the show. The demo from CGTech highlighted the industry leading g-code verification, program optimization, and machine simulation capabilities of the Vericut 5.2 product suite.
