NC-Base v4 ReleasedSterling, MA, December 11, 2002
- CIMCO Integration proudly announces the release of NC-Base v4. NC-Base,
previously available in Europe as part of the DNC-Max product, has been
redesigned and re-introduced in this new version as a stand-alone product for
integration with CIMCO Edit and DNC-Max.
Peter Jensen, President and Co-Founder of CIMCO, commented,
"We are extremely happy to introduce the new version of NC-Base. Our customers
in Europe have been patiently waiting for the new release to coincide with
DNC-Max v3 to v4 upgrades. While the product is new to some markets including
North America, NC-Base has been an important and integrated part of our
solutions for nearly a decade. Our developers have worked hard on this new
release and we are confident that it will meet and exceed our customer's
expectations. We also anticipate quite a lot of interest in this solution in our
new markets as the product and concept of NC-Base will be new for many people."
Mr. Jensen added, "Response from our first eleven upgrade installations has been
very favorable. Our customers report excellent system speed across varying
network topologies and perfer the new, integrated interface to that of the
original stand-alone design. I believe we have met our goals of delivering a
solid improvement on our previous system."
"We are excited to begin the North American roll-out of
NC-Base", stated Anthony Graves, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CIMCO.
"NC-Base is really a new concept here. Typically programmers and manufacturers
have had to choose between generic file management, such as Windows Explorer or
a basic integrated file and folder manager, or a full-scale PDM system for
managing CNC programs. NC-Base provides customers with a CNC program managment
tool, capable of handling tens of thousands of programs and production
documents, with features and capabilities addressing the specialized
requirements of CNC programming. We will now work with our network of resellers
to educate the market about the benefits and value a true CNC program management
system has to offer."
CNC program
management is a critical task for both CNC programmers and DNC Administrators.
NC-Base is a unique solution that allows these professionals to quickly and
easily search on and retrieve their CNC programs and associated production
documents with a tool integrating program storage, CNC editing, and DNC
communications. When combined with CIMCO Edit and DNC-Max, NC-Base provides
discrete part manufacturers with a powerful shop floor automation and
programming tool.
