Microsoft Sign-in for CIMCO
Use Microsoft Entra ID to sign in to CIMCO products with your existing Microsoft work account. Once configured, DNC-Max, NC-Base, and MDC-Max can share the same centralized login setup across web and desktop clients.
Many companies already use Microsoft Entra ID as part of their Microsoft 365 setup, but not everyone is aware that it can also be used for login in CIMCO products.
Microsoft Entra ID, formerly Azure Active Directory, is Microsoft’s cloud-based solution for identity and access management. It is typically used to manage login to Microsoft 365 and other web-based systems, where users sign in with their work account. This makes it possible to centralize login in one place, reuse existing users, and ensure consistent management of access and security across systems.
In DNC-Max, NC-Base, and MDC-Max, Entra ID can be used as a login method for both web and desktop clients. This means that users can sign in with their existing Microsoft account, either instead of or alongside local CIMCO users and On-premises Active Directory.
NC-Base, MDC-Max, and DNC-Max share the same login module. Therefore, Microsoft Entra ID only needs to be configured once in DNC-Max Server, and the application only needs to be registered once in Microsoft Entra ID.

General Setup
The setup consists of the following steps:
- Register the application in Microsoft Entra ID
- Configure redirect URIs for web and desktop clients
- Assign the required Microsoft Graph permissions
- Configure group claims for authorization
- Enable Microsoft Entra ID login in DNC-Max Server
The setup is therefore relatively straightforward and follows the standard way Microsoft Entra ID is integrated with other systems.
Getting Started
See the full setup guide in the documentation for step-by-step instructions.
