Manual send file base directory

Use this field to specify the manual send file base directory. This directory is the default base directory for manual send operations. If you select 'Manual send from $SENDROOT only', the operator will only be able to send files from '$SENDROOT' and all sub-directories of '$SENDROOT'.

Use $SENDROOT

Check this field to restrict manual transmission of files to '$SENDROOT' and all sub-directories of '$SENDROOT'.

When this option is selected, the operator will not be able to browse, or send any files from a directory above '$SENDROOT'.

You must specify an administrator password on all servers to use this option.

Browse $SENDROOT only

Check this field to restrict manual transmission of files to '$SENDROOT'.

When this options is selected the operator cannot access any sub-directories of $SENDROOT, or any directories above $SENDROOT.

Extensions

Use this field to specify the default extension(s) listed when manually sending files.

To specify multiple extensions separate them with a comma.

Using the wildcards * and ? is supported.

To show files without extensions, specify a comma at the beginning.

Example: To show all files with extensions .NC and .ISO, specify: NC,ISO

Example: To show all files where the first letter of the extension is N, specify: N*

Example: To show all files without an extension, or with the extension MZK, specify: ,MZK

Check this field to restrict manual transmission of files. When this field is selected, only files with extensions listed in the 'Extensions' field above can be transmitted manually.

Use this field to specify the manual receive file base directory. This directory is the default base directory for manual receive operations. If you select 'Manual receive into $RECVROOT only', the operator will only be able to receive files into '$RECVROOT' and all sub-directories of '$RECVROOT'.

Check this field to restrict manual reception of files to '$RECVROOT' and all sub-directories of '$RECVROOT'.

When this option is selected, the operator will not be able to browse, or receive any files into a directory above '$RECVROOT'.

Check this field to restrict manual reception of files to '$RECVROOT'.

Temporary directory

Use this field to specify the temporary directory used when sending and/or receiving files. If you select 'Copy files to $TEMPDIR before sending', all files will be copied to $TEMPDIR before they are transmitted.

Copy files to $TEMPDIR before sending

Check this field to make a 'local' copy of a file before it is transmitted. This is useful when drip feeding large files from a network drive.

Only copy network/removable files to $TEMPDIR

Check this field to copy only files on network, or removable drives (floppy, CD-ROM, ZIP) to the temporary directory before transmitting.
