FTP Server

Use this dialog to configure the FTP server port.

User name

Use this field to specify the FTP user name.

The user name must match the user name specified on the CNC.

Password

Use this field to specify the FTP password.

The password must match the password specified on the CNC.

Disable receive (download only)

Check this field if the CNC operator should not be allowed to send back files from the CNC.

Allow file delete

Check this field to allow CNC operators to delete files on the server.

File delete is not supported on all models.

Ignore delete (no error returned when deleting)

Check this field if DNC-Max should not return an error when trying to delete a file.

Disable directory change

Check this field if the CNC cannot access files outside the directory specified below.

Use relative paths

Check this field to save the directory information, as paths relative to the current environment. Specifying relative paths makes it much easier when moving files to another path/disk.

Save files using 'Auto Receive'

Check this field to use auto receive to determine the filename and location of received files.

CNC address/hostname

Use this field to specify the hostname or IP address of the CNC control.

Only the specified address/hostname is allowed to connect to this port.

To specify multiple hosts separate them with a comma (maximum of 4 allowed).

Example: 192.168.100.123, 192.168.100.126

Use this field to specify the type of system.

Please refer to the manual of the specific control for further information.

Use this field to specify an extension that is used to store files on the PC, but that should not be shown on the CNC.

Separate receive directory

Check this field if received files should be saved in a different directory.

Scan with directory monitor

Check this field if the FTP server should not update NC-Base directly.

Allow Mazak to delete non-empty folders

Check this field to allow MAZAK ftp server to delete non-empty folders using the DELE command.

In some cases, the MAZAK control will try to clear the ftp root directory using the DELE command.

Take care when using this, as all files and subfolders targeted by the DELE command will be deleted. Suggested use is only in the cases where the MAZAK clear the entire FTP root directory.

Directory

Use this field to specify the directory containing the files than can be sent to the control.

Real name

This field shows the actual path used, with any environment variables expanded.

Receive directory

Use this field to specify how the DNC server selects the receive directory.

Auto: The server stores programs in the directory specified on the 'File types' setup sheet.

Manual: The operator must specify the receive directory on the 'Manual' tab in the administration program.

Both: The operator can specify the receive directory on the 'Manual' tab in the administrator client, or use the destination directory specified on the 'File types' setup sheet, depending on the setting of the 'Specify receive directory' field on the 'Manual' tab in the administration client.

Remember last entered path for x seconds

Define how long FTP server will remember, in seconds, the last entered directory between sessions.

Helpful on Mazak machines. 0 = DON'T REMEMBER

Client Timeout (min)

Use this field to specify , in minutes, the timeout period for a client connecting to the FTP server. If no data has been received after the timeout, the client is disconnected.

Set timeout to 0 to disable timeout.
