When the installation is completed and you have installed your license file, you are ready to start CIMCO DNC-Max for the first time.
Click on the DNC-Max Server icon on your desktop, this will bring up the server console.

When the server is started, verify that your company name is shown in the Licensed to field on the server console. If not, the license file was not installed correctly. Please repeat the point Installing your License File in order to install the license file correctly.

Um den Server einzustellen wählen Sie Einstellung / Server einstellen aus dem Menü der Server-Konsole.
Unter Server einstellen geben Sie den Namen dieses Servers ein. Wählen Sie einen Namen, der die Funktion und/oder den Ort des Servers wiedergibt (z.B. Werkhalle West).
Unter Verzeichnisse wählen Sie das Wurzel-Verzeichnis für den Server. Im Wurzel-Verzeichnis befinden sich alle Protokolldateien, NC-Programme usw. Wenn sich alle NC-Programme auf einem Laufwerk befinden, wählen Sie dieses für das Wurzel-Verzeichnis. Wenn sich die NC-Programme auf verschiedenen Laufwerken befinden wählen Sie vorläufig eines von diesen aus.
Check the Auto create directories option below the server directories fields.
Beenden Sie die Einstellung, indem Sie OK anklicken.

The next step is to configure the server to communicate with your CNC's. This is done from the DNC-Max Client. To start the DNC-Max Client, click on the Client button on the server console or in the DNC-Max Client icon on your desktop

If this is your first installation, two ports Machine A and Machine B will be listed in the client port list. These are the default configurations installed by CIMCO DNC-Max.
If you want to configure a machine that uses the standard protocol, you can rename the first port. You should choose a name that uniquely identifies the CNC, i.e. the location of the CNC or the S/N or company ID for the machine.
Für das Umbenennen einer Schnittstelle wählen Sie aus dem Menü Schnittstelle / Schnittstelle umbenennen.
Wenn Sie eine Maschine konfigurieren, die ein besonderes Protokoll erfordert z.B. Heidenhain oder Mazak, löschen Sie bitte die zwei angezeigten Schnittstellen aus der Liste. Für das Löschen einer Schnittstelle, wählen Sie aus dem Menü Schnittstelle / Schnittstelle löschen. Für weitere Informationen, wie man neue Ports hinzufügen, lesen Sie bitte Schnittstelle hinzufügen.

To configure a port, select the port in the port list by clicking on it. Then select Port / Configure Port from the menu. This will open the configuration dialog.
You can also open the configuration dialog by right-clicking on the port and selecting Port / Configure Port in the pop-up menu.
Fangen Sie damit an die serielle Schnittstelle dieser Maschine richtig einzustellen.
Wenn Sie fertig sind, klicken Sie unten im Dialog auf OK.

Sie können jetzt damit beginnen Daten zwischen DNC-Server und CNC-Maschine zu übertragen.
Je nach Art des gewählten Protokolls können Sie mit Hilfe des Senden oder Empfangen-Menüs eine Datei an die Maschine schicken oder von dieser abrufen.
