CIMCO NC Machine Simulation Featured at Taiwan’s 55th National Skills Competition

The 55th National Skills Competition in Taiwan, organized by the Workforce Development Agency, brought together over 1,200 young competitors across trades ranging from CNC machining to electronics and design.

This competition serves as the national qualifier for WorldSkills, the global skills championship where Mastercam is the official CAM partner for CNC Turning and Milling.

For the CNC Turning category in Taiwan, the official designated machine was the Victor Taichung A200YCM. To showcase the machine and provide participants with a professional training environment, the event featured a combined setup of Mastercam software together with CIMCO NC Machine Simulation.

The solution was provided by Chung Yi Technology, CIMCO’s reseller in Taiwan, a leading provider of CAM and CNC solutions and the main distributor of Mastercam in the region. The live machine simulation of the A200YCM attracted strong interest from visitors and educators alike, giving them a safe and realistic view of machine kinematics, toolpaths, and collision detection.

This successful showcase underlined how CIMCO NC Machine Simulation can seamlessly integrate with CAM software and all types of CNC machines, offering users a powerful way to validate toolpaths, prevent collisions, and optimize production workflows.
