CIMCO Edit v8 gets FTP

In version 8, a basic ftp client will be added to the editor.

Before version 8, only simple serial communication was available inside the Cimco Editor. From Version 8, a new FTP Client will be added. The new FTP Client will allow some basic configuration, such as default directories on local and FTP Server side, as well as the allowed actions on local and FTP Server side.

The FTP Client will allow the user to send and receive files using a split window. It is possible to also send files immediately to the FTP Server without using the split window. Here, a simpler dialog will open, and the file chosen will be send to the default directory configured for the machine.
The split window is similar to the one found in DNC-Max, but will offer more basic options.
When using the split window, it will be possible to:

• Transfer files to and from server
• Delete files and folders
• Rename files and folders
• Create new folders
